Thank you...

Our first boudoir marathon ended yesterday.  It was physically exhausting (I still have the bruises), and at times pretty stressful, but we had a lot of fun too!  To all the ladies who joined us, thank you so much!  I hope you had as much fun as we did.  We shot a ton of great photos, and I know I will have a hard time choosing shots for your online galleries.

I also want to thank the people who helped make this great experience possible.  Below are photos of the three ladies who were with me through out the weekend.

The very talented EJ Litiatco made all the ladies even more beautiful than they already were.  She seriously made my job a whole lot easier.

EJ's lovely sister Mara was also there to do some of the ladies' hair.  She also helped me choose accesories for a couple of the ladies.

And of course, my sister Pie was there to help out with...just about everything.  Things would have been so much more difficult and exhausting for me if she wasn't there.

Special thanks goes to Allan who did a few of the girls' hair.  And I also want to thank Lyra for helping me spread the word about the project.  Thanks guys!:)

Oh, and how can I forget my husband?  As I said, the shoot was stressful at times, and when I get stressed out, I just talk to Pete. In a rapid mix of Tagalog, English, and Waray.  He doesn't mind it though--I think.  But I must really talk a lot and fast because last Saturday night, he compared my mouth to a machine gun--in the most endearing way possible. :)

Again, thank you everyone! :) And here's looking forward to the next project...

Rhys: 1st birthday party

April 17, 2010
West Greenhills Clubhouse
Party theme: Nickelodeon

I first worked with the family two years ago for Sam's 2nd birthday party.  Well, Sam is now a big sister to Rhys and Mommy Suzette hired me again to photograph her little one's 1st birthday party.  Remembering all the wonderful details of Sam's party two years ago, I knew my camera would have a feast at Rhys' party.  And I was not disappointed.

The theme of the party was "Nickelodeon", hence it was a fusion of different characters from the TV network that the kids love. Here is the invitation.

The cake and the cupcakes.

All the kids got these as giveaways!

A few shots of the family before the program started.

Mommy Suzette with Rhys.

Venue decorations by Kidstar Kastles!

So pretty!:)

Kids had personalized name tags.

They had a Gymboree session for the younger kids.  Here are photos of Rhys with Mommy and Sam enjoying the fun activity.

The kids as well as the adults enjoyed this.

Prizes prizes prizes!

They had a mini carousel at the party.

Here's our birthday boy.

Watching this act was a bit scary. But they were really good!

Gab: 1st birthday party

April 10, 2010
Acropolis Clubhouse
Party theme: Disney
Jhoanne Alon of Polkadots Events, who was the event coordinator for Gab's birthday party, was the one who booked me for the party.  I always love working with Jhoanne. She's very creative and takes very good care of her clients. I was very excited about shooting the party because I knew there would be a lot of interesting details.

Below are some of my favorites from the party.

The cute 3D table centerpieces from Passion Cooks Catering.

The birthday girl's pretty outfits.

Colorful venue decorations by Polkadots Events.  The stage backdrop consisted of different Disney characters including Pocoyo which is one of my favorites!:)

I loved the cake!

A closer look at the laughing Tinkerbell on top of the beautiful cake.

All the little girls were given fairy wings and headbands.

Wizzo entertained the guests with games and magic.

The little boys were each given one of these cute aviator glasses which the family brought home all the way from China.:)

Gab with Mommy Golda enjoying the program.

We were able to take a few family shots while the party was on-going/

Check out their matching outfits!:)

Candle-blowing.

Mickey was there!

Towards the end of the party, Mommy Golda read a heartfelt letter to Gab.

Maria Isabella Beatrice: Baptism

April 11, 2010
Christ the King Parish
Valle Verde 4 Clubhouse

It's usually the moms who contact me, but for Bella's baptism, Daddy Mike was the one who texted me first and booked me.  I always like it when guys are more involved in the preparations of their events, because these are usually the same guys who are easier to photograph. (i.e. Not camera-shy, and more cooperative during pictorials. Hehehe.)  And this was true with Daddy Mike.  Also, Bella's special day went by more smoothly because of the real teamwork between him and Mommy Imee.  I will be working with them again for Bella's birthday party early next year, and I can't wait.:)

Here are some photos from the event.

We started at the Linden Suites to take photos of the details...

A couple of shots of little Bella.

And some family shots before leaving for the church.

Lovely family.:)

A few shots of the baptism ceremony.

Balloon decors were by Yanple.  Centerpieces and stage decorations were by Center Table Catering.

The cute mini cake served as topper for the cupcake tower.

Pretty cupcakes!

Daddy Mike works for Jollibee Corp., so of course they had to have Jollibee at the party!

Jollibee even brought along a couple of his friends.:) Here's a photo of the family with Jollibee and Hetty.
