Lorin Venice

January 26, 2008
The Prestige Tower, Ortigas Center

Lhanie is another one of my overseas-based clients. She and the family are based in Singapore so we had to get in touch through email and text and got to meet for the first time at the party, but she was so nice and it was great working with her and her family.:) And Lorin is just adorable! Take a look!

The first thing I noticed when I got to the venue was the theme. I loved Care Bears when I was little and it was nice to see the colorful little bears among the decorations. I especially loved the cake!

I learned from Lhanie that Lorin was chosen as the grand prize winner of a Pampers photo contest. And it's not so difficult to see why. Lorin is such a charming and beautiful baby, she will definitely be a heart throb when she grows up.

I always make it a point to take a few casual family portraits before the party gets in full swing.

Gavin Reuben: 2nd birthday

January 6, 2008
The family residence

This was my second time to work with Rhoda and her family. The first time was during Gwen Riley's baptism in October last year. This time, it was her eldest boy's 2nd birthday party. The party was held at the family's home in Quezon City, only it didn't look like a family residence as it was transformed into a grand party venue! From the gate all the way to the back, the whole place was dressed up in Sesame Street-themed decorations. They even had a bouncer on the front lawn where kids, including Gavin enjoyed...well, bouncing around.

Here are a few shots from the party. And don't forget to click on the link at the bottom for the online gallery.:)

The cake.
Gavin's favorite Sesame Street character.;)
The birthday boy.
Family portrait. We weren't able to take good family photos during Riley's baptism so we made sure to sneak out of the party to take a few shots.
I love Gavin's smile.:)
Alex the magician.

Gavin enjoyed this part of the program the most.

Tamiko: baptism and 1st bday party

Ok, change of strategy...

I'm terribly behind in posting here because of the back-log I accumulated in December. So, instead of trying to finish posting all my December events, I will start posting my more recent events in parallel with the old ones until my posting catches up with my most recent events. I will start with my first event for the year, and let's just see if this works.

Christ the King
PSE Penthouse

As I said, this was my first event for the year. (I was supposed to do a wedding with Kix on January 2 but I was too sick I had to beg off.) When I was in Tacloban for the holidays, the lovely Jhoanne Alon of Polkadots Events called me up for this last minute booking. Jhoanne had contacted me a few times before for other events but I was always booked, so we were both glad to be finally working together.

The event was Tamiko's baptism and 1st birthday party. I learned from Jhoanne that Tamiko and her parents Jun and Tin are based in Australia and were just in town for a few weeks, so they made sure they had a very special party for little Tamiko. And it was special! Jhoanne did a great job with the details and the party decorations!

Check out the photos:

Lovely party decor!
Yes, that's an iPhone. Kids these days start early, don't they?

Great face painting! I heard the face painter Jhoanne hired for Tamiko's party does some work for GMA's Kamandag.;)
