Nathan: 1st birthday party

September 4, 2010
Alexandra Clubhouse

Before heading for the party venue, we went to the family home first to take a few shots of the family as well as some of the party details.  Both Mommy Jayme and Daddy Dinno are architects so naturally, they have a very lovely home with a lot of natural light that I loved.

Below are some of the photos from Nathan's birthday party.

When we got to the house, Nathan was still taking his afternoon nap, so I took the time to take photos of the party stuff first.

I love using stuff around the house as backgrounds in detail shots. They give a more personal feel to the photos.

When Nathan woke up, we went into his nursery to take some photos.

I love this photo of Mommy and Daddy getting Nathan into his party clothes.

Then it was time for some solo shots of the birthday boy.  He was in a great mood!

A few family shots before heading out.

They had a nice spot in the backyard so we tried taking a few shots there before leaving for the venue.

A few more family shots.

I love this one.

Tyler turns 3 and Riley turns 1!

August 22, 2010
55 Events Place

Their actual birthdays are just a couple of days apart, so Mommy Cheryll and Daddy Aliang decided to throw one big party for both boys instead.  When we walked into the venue, we were greeted with a really a jungle set-up--complete with green swags and vines along the ceiling, balloon trees and miniature animals scattered around the tables, and a big safari-themed cake for Riley (Tyler had his own cake, of course!)!

Below are some of the photos from the party.

Chek out the cool invite with a bamboo frame and tiny plastic leaves to complete the look!

These were the centerpieces.

And if you looked closely, these cute details were scattered on each table.

The giant cake for Riley along with smaller cakes and cupcakes.

A closer look at the cupcakes and mini cakes

And here was Tyler's cool "Thomas the Train"-themed cake and cupcakes!

Since this was Riley's first birthday, I was instructed to get more portrait shots of Riley.  We were able to spend a few minutes with him at the lounge.

Cute shirt!:)

For the party, Riley changed into this safari-themed outfit.  Big brother Tyler had one too!

Lou Hilario was also there!

First one to blow his birthday candle was Riley.

And then we all went to the other side of the stage to blow out Tyler's birthday candle.:)

Before we left, I just had to take a few shots of the kids identical shoes.:)

Bong + Jacq = Iyah

About a month before they came home for a short vacation, Jacq emailed me about doing a family portrait session. She, her husband Bong and little girl Iyah are based abroad and they wanted to take nice outdoor portraits while they were in town for a few days last July 2010. We started the shoot at UP Diliman, and then moved to Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife.

Below are some of my favorites from the shoot.

How cute is Iyah?;)

Iyah has a very mysterious yet charming smile. Her daddy describes it as a Mona Lisa smile, and I couldn't agree more.

I love the colors in this one.

After a while, we headed to our second location.

I love these next two.

After a short break and an outfit change...

Love that smile!
