Margaux and Bianca

Jody's was the very first maternity portrait that I did last year. Last March 11, over five months since we first met, I again had the pleasure of photographing Jody and her family...this time with their newest member, Bianca.

This was our first time to do a double-celebration, so Pete and I were both very busy during the entire event. We didn't really mind because there were a lot of lovely details to photograph. And Margaux was such a a cutie. When we first met her in September, she seemed very quiet. This time, however, she was very talkative and wasn't shy in front of the camera at all. She kept telling her baby sister to smile. And during the party, whenever she caught me pointing my lens at her, she would tell everyone near her to smile for the camera.

Before proceeding to the Santuario de San Antonio which was where the baptism ceremony and the reception were held, we spent about an hour at the Peninsula Manila where the whole family got ready. Because we had enough time for the preps, we were able to take a lot of photos of the two beautiful girls. We were even able to take some casual portraits of the whole family.

The party was such a grand well-planned event. But I guess, anything less would have been a crime with Jody heading the planning committee. She did a great job in putting it all together down to the smallest details.

Here are some of my favorite shots from the event.

And now there are four...

And now for Pete's shots.

Daddy Dicky asked Margaux to "smell the flower" for the camera. And that's exactly what she did. :D

Yummy desserts...

Jade's 4th birthday party

Jade is Oliver's niece. Oliver is Kim's hubby. Kim is now officially my new dentist.:D Seriously, Kim is an old client who hired me back in November of last year to photograph Adeline's baptism. (Oh yeah, Adeline is also Oliver's niece.) It was great working for this family so I was glad to be given another chance to photograph another special event for them.

Jade and her parents are based in the States. For her 4th birthday however, they decided to celebrate with their relatives and friends. And what could be better than having a party with every Filipino child's favorite mascot--Jollibee! It was a lot of fun! I have never had that close an encounter with mascots before (there were four of them, by the way). I was literally rubbing elbows with them!:D

The party was held at the Jollibee Global City on March 10. Below are some of the photos from the party:

Family

I haven't been updating this blog religiously and I have several photos from the past couple of months that I haven't featured here. I was going through my photo folders the other day when I found this. This was from a photo session with Kuya Sonny (Pete's brother) and his family. They usually get a studio family photo every year so Pete and I suggested we take their portrait last year. We just did this at Pete's parents' living room last December. It was very casual but we all had fun (including the kids). Pete and I made an 8X10 print, put it in a frame and gave it to Kuya Sonny and Ate Judee as a gift on their 10th Wedding Anniversary last January.
