Ronald and Richel: Wedding

EDIT: Zoto gallery is now up. Please click HERE to view more photos from Ronald and Richel's wedding.:)

August 16, 2008
Archdiocesan Shrine of Nuestra Senora de Guia (Ermita Shrine)
Josiah's

I first met Ronald 5 years ago when I started at my job in the same company where Pete was already working. He was the new mechanical engineer. He worked more closely with Pete, but for some reason, he asked me to be ninang when his second baby was baptized a couple of years ago. And that was how I got to know his lovely wife Richel. Ronald left the company about a year ago and is now working in Australia. He came home to celebrate with his family and friends, and to marry his wife all over again.

These two were married (in civil rites) in August 2002. Almost exactly six years, and two beautiful kids later, they decided to get married again, this time in a simple yet beautiful church ceremony. And I was so honored to be the one to document that special day for them.

Here are some of my favorites from the day.

I LOVED Richel's gold shoes!

Hey, look! They used one of the photos from the family portrait session that we did several months ago on their invites!:)

The lovely dress.

I don't usually do this because it's not really my style, but we had a lot of time to kill while waiting for the other suppliers, so we played around with the rings and the butterflies with the other suppliers who were already there.

The dashing groom. Naks!;)

I had my camera right in Richel's face while they were doing this because I was so ready to grab her out of the chair as soon as they finished. Hehehe. We were so pressed for time at this point!

Richel was so calm, cool, and collected that we were still able to take beautiful portraits of her before heading out of the hotel.
Photobucket

Soooo calm...Hehehe.

I love this photo because it shows Jolo (my inaanak) up there at the altar with his Nanay and Tatay during the first few minutes of the ceremony.:)

Just after the kiss. I love their expressions here. They look so happy.:)

We took a few shots of the family by the church window before leaving.

Taken at Luneta Park.

I love this photo in black and white. Probably one of my favorite shots from the day.:)
Photobucket

This was my real favorite.;)
Photobucket

But I like this one, too.
Photobucket

The reception details. They also used photos from the family session for the table numbers which I designed. Ahem.:D
Photobucket

They did a cute little routine for their first dance which was a hit with everyone.
Photobucket

Fun shots before heading for home.

I would like to thank Ces Kasilag for second-shooting for me. You can see some of her shots on her site.:)

Finally, to Ronald and Richel, thank you so much for letting us share this special day with you and your family.:)

I'm having some problems with my Zoto account right now so please check back again later for the gallery.:)

Sofia Antoinette: Baptism

August 17, 2008
Santuario de San Antonio Parish
Makati Sports Club

I've been wanting to post Sofia's baptism for a long time. I loved shooting this event because of all the little details that Mommy Yang and Daddy Kiko prepared for their little one's special day. Yang is not only cute, she is also very creative. She did a lot of the pretty details by herself. I just wish I could post pictures of everything she did here.

I also loved this event because I was so relaxed and comfortable working with the family. I had already met them before when we did Sofia's pre-event pictorial and I knew they trusted me and were willing to go with my flow when it came to taking pictures.

Here are just a few of the photos from Sofia's baptism.

We started shooting the details in their lovely condo in Makati.

Here is Sofia relaxing in her bathrobe before getting dressed.:)

One of my favorite shots of Sofia from the day. I think she likes being in front of the camera.:)

This was the framed canvas included in the pre-event pictorial package that Yang and Kiko availed of for Sofia. I lent them my frame stand so they could display the frame beside the HUGE and colorful diaper cake.

These little towel favors were lovingly made by Yang for all their guests.

The GRAND ballroom.

The beautiful cake, the cupcakes and the favors.

This was the last spread of the 10-page signature book that I made for Sofia using photos from her pre-event pictorial.

Robbie and Dolly: Wedding

August 9, 2008
Mother of Good Counsel Parish
Stonecrest

Over two months ago (I know, I really have to catch up on my blogging!), I shot a wedding as a second shooter for Kix Tavora all the way in San Pedro, Laguna. The bride Dolly is a good friend of Donna who is Kix's wife. It was a very relaxed wedding, and I really had fun working with this couple.

Robbie and Dolly's love story started at a wedding. But from what I've witnessed in the few hours that I've worked with them, their own wedding is definitely just a new beginning for them.

For a bride, I think the idea that you are really really about to get married just sinks in as soon as you put on the veil. I realized this during my own wedding, and since then, I've always tried to capture hints of that emotion in my brides.

As I said, I loved working with these two. They're such a fun couple.

This was also one of the most emotional wedding receptions I've ever been to. There was so much laughter and tears in a single night. The next two photos were shot literally within minutes of each other.

The very emotional first dance.

Last shot for the night.
