Safina: 1st birthday party

January 24, 2010
Valle Verde 6 Clubhouse
Theme: Sesame Street

Another party that was so full of delicious details and a lot of fun!  I'll just go straight to the photos and let you see for yourselves.

We started at the family home to shoot some details and take photos of Safina and the family before heading for the venue.  Can I just say that the whole family was really nice and friendly.:)

Mommy and Daddy really know how to make Safina smile.  All I had to do was keep on clicking on the camera.:)

One of my favorite shots of Safina.  Daddy was just a few inches to her right ready to catch her in case she lost her balance.:D

The lovely family.  Safina with Mommy Evelyn and Daddy Jimmy.

As always, Kidstar Kastles did an amazing job with the venue!

Remember Mommy Emily who did her baby Lia beautiful birthday cake?  Well, she's Mommy Evelyn's bestfriend and she was not only the official coordinator at the party, she also made Safina's lovely birthday cake. I keep telling her she could make a business out of this.:)

The kiddie salons never ran out of kids lining up to get their hair or nails done.

A few family shots before the party started.

Host-magician Ruther was there. And every one enjoyed his program...including me!

Some of the titos and titas during one of the games.

Colorful hair!

This was during the giving out of the lootbags.  Safina kept looking at me as I was taking photos of them.:)

Iara: 1st birthday party

January 23, 2010
Corinthian Gardens Clubhouse
Party theme: Spongebob Squarepants

Beautiful bright colors, cute and lovely details, fun program...these are the things that come to mind when I think of Iara's party.  Also Mommy Joya was so nice!  Pie told me Joya kept going to her throughout the party just to talk even for a few seconds (Pie usually stays quietly in one corner when she's not shooting with me).  Oh, and I should mention that Iara was just so pretty. I loved taking her pictures.:)

Below are some of the photos from the party.

I loved the colors of the invite! It makes me happy just looking at it.:D

Beautiful decorations by Kidstar Kastles!:)

Yummy cake and cupcakes!

These cute Spongebob lollies were on the kiddie tables.

One of the things I love about this venue is the great light in the afternoon.  I took the family aside for a few shots before the party officially started.  I loved Iara's understated yet elegant (and so darn cute!) outfit!

Iara has such a lovely smile.  And you can see where she got it from.:)

Host Myra leading the program.

The great magician Leodini (check out his blog!) entertained every one with his unique act that brings together magic and comedy. He was a big hit even with the adults that after the party, a few people asked to have their pictures taken with him!:)

Every one was paying close attention.

One of Leodini's last tricks. I took this just a few seconds before one of his assistants saw me and thought I was trying to sneak a peek and blocked my view.:P Hehehe.

Judd + Deegee = Earl & Sam

Deegee was referred to me by one of my brides.  She initially contacted me to inquire about my kiddie party photo packages for baby Sam's 1st birthday party. Unfortunately, I was no longer available to photograph the party. So, instead she booked me for a family portrait session.  When she told me she wanted to wear her wedding gown for the pictorial, I got so excited.:)

In 2005, Deegee and husband Judd got married in a triple-wedding ceremony (along with her two older brothers) in Bohol, so they didn't really get the chance to have nice wedding portraits.  This year, they celebrate five years of married bliss, and they wanted to capture that in photos along with their two beautiful children. Yes, five years and two kids later--and just about a year after giving birth--Deegee still rocked it in her wedding gown!:)

They chose to do the photoshoot at the La Mesa Eco Park.  They braved the traffic all the way from Las PiƱas, and walked through the park in their barongs and white dresses (with people wondering whether they were artistas or if they really just came straight from the wedding).  But you know what. It was all worth it!  And these guys are so much fun to shoot, so it was easy getting great shots of them.

Below are just some of the shots that I loved from the pictorial.  After the shoot, I had a hard time choosing the photos to edit so I ended up with a whole lot of them. And I even had a harder time choosing which ones to post here. I just loved all of them!

This was one of the very first shots.  Deegee was worried that the kids may not be in the mood during the pictorial, but Sam and Earl were all smiles through most of the afternoon.:)

Putting on last-minute touches. But little Sam was all set for her close-up.:)

Some warm-up shots with Judd and Deegee.  I loved these though.

Isn't she lovely?

When were shooting these photos, some girls came over and asked us if Judd and Deegee were celebrities.  I jokingly said yes. A bit later, I heard one of them whisper, "Sya nga yun..." Hahaha.

Awww...isn't she the cutest flower girl ever?

Handsome little Earl.

The next few shots are my absolute favorite shots of the kids.  I just had to post most of them here. I couldn't choose just a couple because I loved all of them!

Sam is such a cutie pie!

And big brother Earl doesn't look so bad either.:)

More "day after" shots.

Walking in dress shoes and heels at the park isn't easy. So, they brought out more comfy footwear.;)

Some bridal shots of the lovely mommy.;)

For some reason, I just love this photo. Probably one of my favorites from the shoot.

After a quick change, we took a few more shots before the sun finally set.

The light was perfect!

Sam loved her pink boots!:D

After more than 2 hours, the kids were still smiling.

Last shots of the kids. Sam didn't like sitting on the grass by herself.

Earl had no problem with it though.:)
