Calvin: Baptism and 1st Birthday Party

February 25, 2012
Shrine of Jesus
Marina Subdivision Clubhouse

This was my last event for February 2012. Calvin's party was a simple and intimate one. There was no host or magician, there wasn't even a program for the party. It was just a quiet gathering of close friends and family--just as the birthday family wanted. Well...it wasn't actually quiet. The kids sure sounded like they had a lot of fun, even without any entertainers! Apparently, all you need are a few rubber duckies and some yummy cupcakes to get the party going!

Here are a few shots from that day...

We started the day with Calvin's baptism at the Shrine of Jesus.

I love it when babies notice the camera and smile at me.:)

Then it was time for the lunch party.

There were no balloons either, but the table setting was so pretty!

Kids loved the rubber duckies!:)

Colorful (and yummy!) cake by Les Sucreries. And tons of delicious cuppies from the birthday family! Mommy Marijhune's family owns a bakeshop, so of course they had to have all these pretty little cupcakes made.:) They were a big hit!

Moving...

When you go to my old website, this is what you'll see.

Photobucket

Yes, I am in the process of building an all-new website and blog right now (with the help of my super talented brother.;) ). I wasn't too happy with my old hosting company anymore, so we decided to move. And since they were giving us a hard time about taking my domain name, we decided to just cut loose and start fresh. If things go well, we are hoping to launch the new site by middle of next month (fingers crossed!). It will be a great way to start the New Year, so I'm super excited!

Meanwhile, my new email ging@ ging-lorenzo.com is now working. (Please don't forget the HYPHEN!) Please direct all inquiries through there.

And yes, I do realize I've been neglecting this blog again. This month has just been crazy. (We haven't even started out Christmas shopping yet!)  I will do my best to post more in the next few weeks (that is, if the world doesn't end this Friday!:D).

Ok, that's it for now!:)

Mimi: 1st birthday party

February 19, 2012
PGPV Clubhouse

I love it when past clients ask me to shoot for them again. Especially when they're as nice as Mommy Nina and Daddy Jojo.:) I first worked with this family around 4 years ago when I photographed Anton's 1st birthday party. Nina contacted me again when it was their 2nd baby Margaux's turn to have a party. Unfortunately, I wasn't available to shoot for them at that time. When she contacted me again and asked me if I would be able to photograph their 3rd baby Mimi's party, I was so happy to say yes!:)

Just as we did for Anton's party, we started shooting the details and some portraits at their home. Everything looked and felt familiar, it felt like visiting old friends. Except there were now 3 cute kiddies in the house! It was a riot! But the fun kind.;)

Here are a few of the photos we took at the house.

It was also Daddy Jojo's birthday! Here's Mimi in front of the chalk board with birthday greetings for her and her dad.:)

We finally got all three kids to sit still long enough to take a family photo before we left for the party venue.;)

I was so tempted to try these margaritas! (Nina kept telling me to try them. Hehehe.)

Before most of the guests arrived, I asked the whole family for a few more shots outside. See how fun these guys are?
Photobucket

Yep, I like taking pictures at parking lots. They always have great light.:)
Photobucket

The two older kids couldn't wait to go back to the party so we let them go and took a few more shots of the birthday girl.
Photobucket

And some shots with mom and dad as well.:)
