Bong + Jacq = Iyah

About a month before they came home for a short vacation, Jacq emailed me about doing a family portrait session. She, her husband Bong and little girl Iyah are based abroad and they wanted to take nice outdoor portraits while they were in town for a few days last July 2010. We started the shoot at UP Diliman, and then moved to Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife.

Below are some of my favorites from the shoot.

How cute is Iyah?;)

Iyah has a very mysterious yet charming smile. Her daddy describes it as a Mona Lisa smile, and I couldn't agree more.

I love the colors in this one.

After a while, we headed to our second location.

I love these next two.

After a short break and an outfit change...

Love that smile!

Darla: Baptism

August 15, 2010
Christ the King Parish, Lower Chapel
Christ the King Function Rooms

I will be photographing Darla's 1st birthday party in a few weeks so it's only right that I post the photos from her baptism already.  I've been photographing Darla even before she was born...seriously!  I shot Christine's maternity portraits when she was 7 months pregnant with Darla.  And then a couple of weeks after Darla was born, we did her newborn portrait session.  I met Darla again a few months later for her christening.  I have been photographing this family for a few years now and they've become one of my favorite families to work with so I was excited to get the chance to work with them again.:)

Below are some of the photos from Darla's baptism.

Mommy Christine used some of the photos we took during Darla's newborn session for some of the details of the event like the tarp, giveaway tags, etc.  Below is just one part of the tri-fold invitation that Christine designed featuring one of the photos from the portrait session.

The lovely party dress that Darla wore during the reception.

Darla's white baptismal dress.

Shoes!

Christine customized these beautiful candles herself!

Some photos of the ceremony.

I love how Darla kept looking at the camera!.:)

Some details from the reception.  Balloon decorations were by Yanple.  Tarp design by Christine.

Balloon centerpieces (by Yanple) and the lovely cake.

Party favors.

In the middle of the reception, Darla decided she wanted to take a nap. So, I took photos of her while she was sleeping.

Mommy Christine also made this headband for Darla! She's so crafty, isn't she?

While waiting for Darla to wake up so we could take some family photos, I followed big sister Dana around with the camera. I've photographed Dana before and I love taking pictures of her because she's so pretty. :)

Finally, Darla was awake and was fortunately in the mood for pictures.:)

One of my favorites!

The two beautiful sisters.:)

Carl Justin: 1st birthday party

August 14, 2010
Uni-Chefs, Angeles City, Pampanga
Party theme: Disney's CARS

Just a week after our gig in Lingayen, Pangasinan,  we found ourselves again driving through NLEX, this time to Angeles City, Pampanga for CJ's 1st birthday party.  As I always say, I especially love it when clients from outside of Metro Manila hire me for their events because aside from the fact that I love having the excuse to travel or to take a road trip, I also know that they really appreciate my work because they choose to book me instead of a local supplier.

CJ's party was lovingly prepared by Mommy Janice and his aunts Karen and Kathy (who are both based abroad).  In fact, it was Karen who first contacted me a few months before the party.  On the day of the party, I got to meet Kathy and Janice (Karen couldn't come home for the event), and they were both so nice to work with.  CJ is such a lucky little boy to have such wonderful family who shower him with love.

Below are some of the photos from CJ's 1st birthday party.

Justine's outfit and just a few of his many pairs of shoes!

The color cake ensemble!

A closer look at the cute cake topper.

Mommy Janice gave Pie and me mini cakes to take home. They were yummy!

Colorful decorations.

Janice said she probably bought all Cars merchandise she could get her hands on. Check out these cute giveaways!

And the prizes for the kids!

We went out to take photos before the party started and just as the sun was setting.  Here's CJ looking handsome on his favorite bike.

CJ is such a happy kid.

Of course we had to take photos with Mommy as well.

With Mommy and Aunt Kathy.

Such a handsome boy!

CJ's grand entrance.

There were clowns at the party!
