Fernbrook
I haven't been a very good blogger when it comes to my weddings. In fact, I still have a few weddings from late last year and early this year that I haven't posted yet. I promise to try a bit harder from now on. And let me start with the first of the two weddings that I shot this month.
I worked with Kix Tavora at Ton and Kitty's wedding on one of the most popular wedding dates this year (second only to 080808, I presume). As second shooter, I focused on capturing "behind the scene" photos, details, and a lot of candids. And with a stunning venue, wonderful details, and an easygoing couple, it wasn't difficult at all to capture great shots.
We started with the preparations at the Vivere Suites.
Here is the groom looking like a very good boy. And yes, that's a little crucifix on the wall behind him.
Ton and his brother/best man getting warmed up for the big day.
The beautiful dress.
This was one of my favorite shots of Kitty. I was taking candid shots while Kix was taking the portraits.
I couldn't get enough of Kitty's lovely shoes.
The lovely bride.
Kitty after meeting up with her dad (who seemed like a pretty cool guy) in the middle of the aisle during the bridal walk.
Some shots during the ceremony.
The couple exiting the church.
And now for the amazing reception details!
The view from behind the couple's table.
The couple wanted the reception program to be very simple. They opted not to have the usual games. They did have a bit of a surprise prepared for the guests during their first dance.

Patricia Dominique: Baptism
June 8, 2008
St. John The Baptist Church
Ding Hao Restaurant
I should say so far I've been very lucky when it comes to my clients. Most of them have been very nice and really appreciative of my work and I thought I could never ask for better clients. And then I met Liza. She has to be the sweetest nicest client I have ever had! My sister and I travelled all the way to San Pablo, Laguna from Quezon City to photograph Tricia's baptism and I was a bit tired from a wedding I had the previous night. But Liza is such a ray of sunshine that I just totally forgot how tired I was. She treated us like guests and made sure we were taken care of during the reception.
Throughout the event, Liza kept referring to specific shots in my galleries that she liked so I knew she really went out of her way to go through my photos. It was very flattering. She also had a few ideas of her own and I was only happy to oblige.
Below are some of the photos from the baptism.
We started the shoot at the family residence in San Pablo where we took photos of the details. Here is a close-up shot of Tricia's shoes.
The invite with the cutest little red shoes I've ever seen.:)
Tricia wasn't in the mood for photos yet.
The baptismal attire.
And here is the little princess in a better mood. Love the hat!;)
Oh, yeah. Let's not forget the main reason why we were there.
Some subtle texture.
The cute cake from Red Ribbon.
Looks like Tricia is already looking to have a bright future.;)
Liza wanted me to take a photo of Tricia's hand holding her finger. (You will see that shot in the online gallery.) I took it a step further and ask her hubby Bryan to join in the photo. The shot turned out to be one of my favorites from the day.
Another one of Liza's brilliant ideas was to take our own version of the famous Tom-Katie-Suri photo from Vanity Fair. Is it just me or does Liza look like Katie Holmes here?
Please don't forget to visit the ONLINE GALLERY as well!

Aiden Kyle: 1st birthday party
May 25, 2008
Valle Verde 6 Clubhouse
Rina contacted me to book Kyle's party months before but we only got to meet up the day before the event. When I saw Rina and her hubby Edwin, I knew they looked very familiar. I found out Edwin is also into photography so I wondered if I met him in one of my classes. When we got to the party, I saw several other familiar faces, and I realized Rina and Edwin were also from UP Diliman and I probably saw them along the hallways of the Engineering building many many years ago.:D
Anyway, we started the shoot at their condo at Eastwood which was also very familiar to me because I have another client in the same building.
Shortly after we arrived at their home, Kyle woke up form his nap. He had to eat his lunch first before getting ready for the party though. Here he is with some of his lunch still on his face.:) He's obviously very comfortable in front of the camera.
This is how much he loves Mickey.;)
Some details at the venue.
Just before the program started, I saw how the light outside was just perfect so I ask the birthday family if we could take some family shots. These are my two favorite shots for the day.
Tito Alex doing the most popular dance in the land with some Titos and Dads.
After a long fun day...

Joehna Timfethy: Baptism
May 17, 2008
Santuario de San Antonio
The Blue Leaf
Even before Joefe and I met, I could already sense how very excited she was about the baptism of their baby girl. When she first contacted me, they hadn't finalized the venue yet, and when she mentioned their options, all could say was WOW! I knew this was going to be a grand celebration. Joefe even asked if I could hire a second photographer for her because she wanted everything to be captured in photos. I gladly said yes, and brought along Ces Kasilag.
We started the day at the Makati Shangrila. A two-camera video team was already there. So, imagine having two photographers and two videographers for a baptism! I went on my merry way shooting all the pretty details while Ces shot some candids.
This was hanging on the bedpost just above the sleeping Joehna when we entered the room. It was too cute!
Joehna's beautiful baptismal and party attires.
The baptism at the Santuatio de San Antonio was well-attended by family and friends. A lot of the guests had to stay outside the baptistry because only a number of people could fit inside.
A couple of shots of the baptism, of course.
And finally, we headed to the Blue Leaf. I LOVED the reception set-up! Joefe mentioned that she chose the theme "heavenly", and the decorations and details were indeed well, HEAVENLY!
Here is a shot of the adult tables and a close-up of one of the cute teddy bears that were part of the centerpieces.
A shot of the ceiling with balloon "clouds" and the canopy in front of the hall.
This was the top of Joehna's humongous cake.
And these are samples of the small cakes that surrounded the big cake.
A relaxed family portrait.
One of the last shots I took of Joehna when most of the guests had gone home.

Djuan Marius: 1st birthday party
April 27, 2008
Kamayan Edsa
About a month ago, I had the honor of photographing the 1st birthday celebration of Djuan. The first time I met Djuan was when he was still in his mom's tummy over a year ago. The second time I met Djuan was about a month before his party when we did his pre-event pictorial. And finally, I met him again for his first birthday party.:)
Mommy Pheng really worked hard to make Djuan's birthday extra special. She contacted me, oh at least 6 months before the event! From the details at the venue, you could tell that she really thought everything through. And what's amazing is that most of the decors, invites, etc. were either made by Pheng herself or with the help of her family.
The theme of the party was Sesame Street. The birthday family dressed up in matching Sesame Street shirts. The party venue was all dressed up in Sesame Street decors. And they even had Sesame Street puppet shows! It was all fun!
Anyway, here are some of the photos that I took during the party. And also please don't forget to visit the online gallery for a few more.:)
Djuan watching TV while Mommy and Daddy try to put on his shoes.
Djuan watching TV while I try to take a family photo with Mommy and Daddy.
Djuan STILL watching TV even when I asked Mommy and Daddy to leave him alone on the couch so I could take some solo shots.:D
One of my favorite shots of Djuan.:)
Djuan watching TV AGAIN while I take one last family photo.;)
The top of Djuan's very colorful cake.
Finally, a few candid shots during the party that show how much everybody had fun!:)
