Dwayne: Portrait session

Last weekend, I photographed Dwayne's 1st birthday party. But a couple of weeks before that, we had his mini portrait session. We used some of the photos from the pictorial for Dwayne's mini signature book. This was the second time that I met Dwayne. The first time was during his baptism almost a year ago, when he was just a few weeks old. It was a pleasant surprise to see how much he has grown!

It was raining hard the morning of the pictorial that Nikki and I racked our brains trying to come up with venues for the shoot. Finally, we settled for the K-2 Building of the UPIS. It turned out Nikki's mom is a teacher there, so we had access to the classrooms and the playground. By the time we started, the rains had already stopped, but it was still pretty overcast and very very humid. At one point, we were all drenched in sweat and Dwayne look very uncomfortable. With a lot of patience though, we were able to make the most of what we had, and we were able to get great shots.

Below are some of my favorites from the shoot.

It took a while for Dwayne to be comfortable in front of the camera and in the unfamiliar environment. But he seemed to enjoy the distraction of the toys.

We went outside to take photos at the playground.

I love the colors here. These were some of my favorite shots from the day.

I LOVE this one. We were finally able to make Dwayne smile.

Of course, Lola also had to join the pictorial.:)

Meanwhile, on the other side of the playground... Heheheh.

Finally, a BIG smile from Dwayne!:D
